My buddy Ceazar sent me an IM a few days ago saying that he was getting ready to install the 64 bit edition of Ubuntu onto a laptop with a solid state disk. He told me that he would let me know how it performs. Then he told me that they were already running Windows XP on solid state and said it was lightning fast!
Being someone who really hasn't played with solid state hard drive myself, I had nothing to compare it to, so he sent me this Youtube video comparing a solid state hard drive with an older 5400 RPM drive on laptops running Windows XP. It blew my mind. Check it out!
