Fooling Vista Users With KDE 4

My former college professor sent out a tweet on Twitter about a video done by ZDNET Australia about how Windows users probably couldn't tell the difference between Windows 7 and KDE 4 because Windows 7's desktop looks really similar. (Can you say rip off?)

Well Chris Duckett, and Alex Serpo decided to take their theory to the streets. Check out this video:

[Is it Windows 7 or KDE 4?]

So basically, what I can gather, and what ZDNET also gathered was that people basically just aren't that keen on Vista. I suppose this just goes to show you that in a blind "taste test" you could easily switch a user over to Linux if you wanted to.

Personally after having played with Windows 7, I do think it is a lot better than Vista. Still,  I'm not sure if you threw a Windows user on KDE that they would immediately get the hang of it. I mean moving from Windows to Linux does require a bit of a learning curve. Even more of a curve than moving from Windows XP to Windows Vista, and from Vista to Windows 7.

What do you think? Do you think it would be easy to migrate users over from Windows to Linux?
