Every few years in the IT profession you hear buzzwords that marketing and sales folk like to throw around. They sound cool, and make many IT directors want to get involved with the latest things. Things like "Virtualization" were all the rage five or six years ago. Next was "cloud computing". Now it's "Software as a Service", or SaaS.
