Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a very safe New Years Eve! I've been taking a break from the blog for the last few weeks because of holidays and such, but some stuff has happened recently that made me want to take a moment and use the blog as a political soap box (again).
This time isn't about the US Government trying to put a strangle hold on our first amendment rights by trying to seize control over the Internet. This is more about certain US Senators (I'm looking at you Dianne Feinstein) that are now also trying to put a strangle hold on our second amendment rights as well. For those not familiar with the U.S. Constitution, our founding fathers gave us the following as our second amendment:
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.It doesn't say anywhere in there that were are guaranteed the right to hunt or do sport-shooting. Our right to bear arms (arms = guns) is to protect us from tyranny. To protect us from an overstepping government. Well Senator Feinstein wants to take that all away. For those of you that say she doesn't, watch this:
That being said, and with the outrageous "fiscal cliff bill" being passed, many Americans are fed up with the Feds. I think the Feds know it too, that's why the DHS has been busily buying up over 1 billion rounds of ammunition.
So are we heading to another Civil War? I think a bold gun grab like the one Dianne Feinstein is proposing might just be the catalyst. I'm not the only one that thinks it's possible. Check out this infographic:
